Sheep Breeds
The broad range of Vermont terrain and the differing interests of Vermont Shepherds lead to an amazing diversity of breeds in our flocks. The following is a list of sheep breeds found on the farms of Vermont Sheep and Goat Association members. Abbreviations of the breeds are also listed. Click on a breed to find members who raise that type of sheep. On your right you will see a nifty diagram showing the most popular sheep breeds. The size of the font used for the abbreviation is an indicator to the number of farms in the VSGA membership with that breed.
