Started and maintained by a young married couple with a baby recently born in April of 2017, Johanna is a high school teacher and Wesley is a woodworker. They live in a mid-1800s farmhouse and have backgrounds in gardening/farming, livestock care, green building, teaching, fiber processing, community work, various forms of art, permaculture design, and various other interests.

The farm currently is home to an expanding garden, vineyard, orchard, apiary (no bees 2018), a flock of chickens, a flock of sheep, a goat, and as of March 2018, a working English Shepherd for herding. With a newly acquired piece of land (65 acres) and an old dairy barn this year, Wes and Jo continue to expand their sheep flock for fiber, meat, and (possibly) dairy. They also hope to acquire a guard llama in the next year or two, and 5 alpaca this (2018) spring for other types of fiber.

Woolenwood Farm has a fiber CSA available through their website with spring and fall shares each year where you can receive a variety of hand-crafted, fiber-related products. They will soon offer individual product purchases through an Etsy page.
