Crooked Fence Farm

Putney, VT

Settled by the Aplin Family in 1789, Crooked Fence Farm is located on the bank of the Connecticut River in southern Vermont. Our primary goal is to raise healthy, contented animals and to be conscientious stewards of the land. We raise CVM Romeldale sheep, the rarest breed in North America, as well as colored Merinos, MerinoXCVM and Cashmere goats. Our sheep are coated and grow very fine, soft fleeces in a range of colors.
